Is there any way to wake those golems?

only the golem that protects the door of the witchwood house wakes up (the way behind leads to another part of the witch wood where you can fight against a metal golem).
I'm not 100% sure how you get that quest but it should be after you met the the Duke for the first time. If you lay down to sleep directly after it then there should be a group of people in front of the fountain the next morning talking about the witch and that they are going to make a witch-hunt or something like that.
But for some reason it only seems to work if you do that directly after the first meeting with the Duke.
